Reminder: The 1099 Filing Deadline is Approaching!

This is a reminder that the IRS filing deadline for entities issuing Forms 1099 is approaching. The new Form 1099-NEC is required to be filed for each person to whom you have paid at least $600 or more for services (performed by someone who is not your employee) in the course of your business. If your business pays rents, other income payments, interest or dividends, you may be required to file forms 1099-MISC, 1099-INT and/or 1099-DIV, accordingly.

1099 forms must be provided to recipients by January 31, 2021 and subsequently filed with the IRS.

If you are wanting assistance in preparing the 2020 1099s, we require the following from you:

  1. A completed Form W-9 for any 1099s we are preparing (retrieve form at https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf )
  2. The amount paid to each contracted worker or 1099 recipient during the current tax year

We require this information by January 15, 2021 to meet the IRS deadline. Help us ensure your compliance by submitting required data by this due date. Information received after January 25, 2021 will be subject to an additional billing surcharge.
