State and local taxes change frequently throughout the year. To help, MHCS has created State Tax Alerts to identify those state and local changes that may impact you and your business. Tax: County & Municipal Sales Tax
At Risk: Remote Sellers with $100,000 or More of Revenue in Illinois
Take Action Date: Now – Requirement Began January 1, 2021
Execution Plan: Companies will need to register in some or all of the 3,400 municipality locations where sales are made. Reach out to MHCS for assistance with the registration process and additional information on the sales tax reporting requirements going forward.
