Department: Client Accounting Services
Job Type: Full - Time

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

In this role, you will assist our clients with various CFO services including:

  • Providing strategic financial planning and consulting to clients
  • Preparing and maintaining financial models and forecasts
  • Managing budgetary processes and analyzing budget vs. actual variances
  • Assisting clients with M&A activities and succession/exit planning
  • Establishing and implementing accounting systems, processes and internal controls
  • Providing cash flow and treasury management for clients
  • Developing and maintaining executive dashboards and KPI monitoring and reporting
  • Providing financial reporting and analysis to clients
  • Providing interim or transitional CFO support
  • Explaining our services and value to prospective clients
  • Onboarding clients into new CFO services
  • Collaborate with the CAS team on engagements and project delivery

Qualifications:

Education – Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field (Master's degree or CPA license a plus)
Skills – Ability to assist in developing a newly created position with the drive to take on leadership role, strong technical skills with the ability to professionally manage multiple client engagements, ability to multi-task, manage priorities and meet deadlines, positive attitude and sound judgment with strong communication, organizational, leadership, supervisory, and computer skills including Word, Excel and accounting software proficiency
Experience – 8-10 years of recent CFO-related financial experience

  • Ensures that tax returns and tax planning recommendations are prepared in accordance with professional and firm standards

People Management and Relationships

  • Shows ability to train other professionals including interns and newer staff
  • Understands the client and properly communicates issues with the entire team

Productivity and Growth

  • Demonstrates ability to recognize problems and propose solutions, while considering the clients’ needs and the firm’s risk
  • Works collaboratively with client team members to build rapport and strong client relationships
  • Identifies, resolves, and makes recommendations on potential tax and accounting issues
  • Balance multiple tasks on engagements, including staff training, and client management
  • Research technical issues and utilizes tax software
  • Collaboratively working with client team members to build rapport and strong client relationships

Qualifications:

Education – Fulfillment of the 150-hour CPA certification requirement
Knowledge – Basic accounting and bookkeeping skills, QuickBooks knowledge and familiarity
Skills – Judgment, accountability, planning, goal setting/accomplishment, excellent people skills to interact with clients and firm members, outstanding communication skills, initiative, positive attitude, team oriented, efficient, and proficient in Word, Excel and online research
Experience – Prior work experience is required
Exams – In pursuit of or obtained CPA licensure

Travel: Very little, if any, out of town travel
