Top Workplaces in Iowa
MHC&S has been named a Top Workplace in Iowa by the Des Moines Register for the fourth consecutive year in 2017. Businesses are reviewed based on an employee survey. Official rankings have not yet been released; stay tuned in the near future.

Best Accounting Firms to Work For
MHC&S was named a Best Accounting Firm to Work For by Accounting Today in 2017, one of many years the firm has been recognized. This year, they are the only firm in Iowa to receive this national award. Firms are assessed based on an employer questionnaire covering details from benefits to favorite perks to fun activities along with an employee survey.

McGowen, Hurst, Clark & Smith was also recognized by Inside Public Accounting (IPA) as a Top 300 firm in the nation based on net revenues. IPA reviews firms of all sizes and revenues across the country.

Business Record Best of Des Moines
MHC&S was named as the runner-up in the Business Record's annual "Best of Des Moines" competition. Citizens select the best places for products and services both on individual and professional levels in this event. MHC&S has been recognized in the event for a number of consecutive years.
