MHCS Announces Appointment of Tax Principal

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (JANUARY 20, 2021) – McGowen Hurst Clark Smith (MHCS), a certified public accounting and business advisory firm, announces the promotion of Nick Finkenauer, CPA from Tax Director to Tax Principal, effective immediately.

Nick joined MHCS in November 2012 with over 5 years of previous experience in the industry. He is originally from Sherrill, Iowa and attended the University of Northern Iowa, where he received his degree in Accounting. Nick serves in the Tax department and leads the Real Estate & Construction market at MHCS. Nick also works in partnership taxation, state and local tax (SALT), and closely held businesses.
