MHCS to host shred and donation event on May 7, 2021

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (April 7, 2021) – McGowen Hurst Clark Smith (MHCS) invites you to join their annual shred and donation event on Friday, May 7, 2021. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the West Des Moines office. This event is free of charge and open to the public.

The event will give the community a variety of opportunities to kickstart their spring cleaning, support others, and enjoy some treats while doing so. A list of activities is as follows:

• Securely Shredding Documents: A shredding truck will highlight the event allowing the community to securely shred and recycle outdated personal and/or business documents.
• Goodwill of Central Iowa: Goodwill of Central Iowa will be collecting all standard donations and electronics throughout the event. Goodwill’s “do-not-take” list can be found here.
• Donate Blood: The LifeServe Blood Mobile will also be in the MHCS parking lot from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to donate blood and help save lives while at the event. Appointments for blood donations can be made here.
• Ice Cream: Is there a better way to kick of your weekend than with ice cream from The Outside Scoop? MHCS will host the delicious, homemade ice cream for all event participants.
